Enjoying my days even though we had a lot of rain yesterday. Keeping active and catching up on some things that should have been done around the house.
You can never have too much time. 
Making the most of mine. I got a call from Capitol Cleaners a few days ago. The guy said he may have a part-time opening in the Huber Heights location as a lady is having a baby in Oct. or Nov. I could work 2 week days and every other Sat. No Sunday. YAY! He said he could call me back later if it was a definite opening. It is 10 mins. from my house. It would be temporary, but that is fine with me. If I do get it, I will take it. I don't mind hot environments as I used to work in a record factory and I would have a little extra money coming in. Being close to home I would spend a LOT less in gas too, so we will see what happens.

Got a text from Elita the other day, saying to pray for her boyfriend, Chris.
He was already having a bad day and this event just made it worse. She said he had a white man come in and he was the next available teller. What did this guy do?? He said, "I don't want that Nigger waiting on me!"
She said Chris was upset but didn't do anything. His manager then starts to kowtow to the racist and apologize for "sub-par" service. It turns out they have a "customer is always right" policy. What the Hell???
She said Christ was really upset then because he hadn't even waited on this man before!
I had thought about sending an e-mail to that branch to let them know that was unacceptable but then I thought it might get him fired and he really needs a job after gradutating from college last June. I have never heard of such behavior by a manager!
I will be praying that another job comes his way as this place is NOT a good place to work!
I wonder where Jesse and Sharpton would be over this event??? My guess is they probably wouldn't do a thing, because he is a hard working college graduate, not a thug wannabe.
If any of you comment, please do it here, as Chris has a FB account and also is trying to run a little business on Facebook, selling some of the music beats he makes.

If O really is concerned about the death of a black kid, then GO BACK TO CHICAGO!!! Over the July 4th holiday more kids were shot, caught in the crossfire of blacks trying to kill blacks!!

Jonathan Watkins is a gang member with a long criminal history – including a three-year prison sentence on a weapons charge_ and there is little doubt he was the target of the attack, Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy said at a news conference Tuesday hours after the infant died. Watkins was standing in his car door changing his daughter's diaper around lunchtime when the gunman approached and opened fire.
"He was obviously targeted," McCarthy said. "It was very clear that whoever was doing this was firing at the father and exclusively at the father who happened to be sitting in a minivan with the child."

I had suspected this was coming and this job has officially hit the crapiness point! I got fired for "an authorized break." This snake of a guy over the dept. wrote in a memo that he had seen me in the break room FIVE mins. early before my break, so I am fired for that.
The hospital is trying to reduce the head count as they are $12 million dollars in the hole, so today, before my time to clock out, I get paged to come to one of the manager's offices.
He tells me on June 26 I took my lunch break 5 mins. early. They have been writing me up for stupid stuff this past year.
Never mind that I have never been late in over 3 years, missed only 4 days in that same time frame, and always show up when I am supposed to. This other lady manager had said that same day that she was wondering where I was, and I told her on lunch. She had said then she was "just passing through." What a liar! She worked in cahoots with this other guy to get me fired over 5 mins.!
I will be using some of my IRA money to live on till I can retire in Feb. I filed for unemployment but doubt if I will get it, as I supposedly am SOOOO bad on breaks! Never mind that our ER area got an excellent customer satisfaction rating since I have been down there!
Well, I threw my uniforms and work shoes in the trash. Wonder if they will get anybody to work down there like I did.
I will never refer anybody to that place for a job because all they care about is the buck.
I am done now.
At least now I can go to church again on Sunday mornings, starting July 21st!

Time to get some chores done and then pool, patio time and then Jorge's Zumba class at 7 pm. On vacation this week and it is so nice not to have to go to work today!

Well, we are having cuts all over the hospital, in spite of them building and buying up more land!
Part-time housekeepers on 2nd and 3rd shift got their hours cut. Those who were working 16 hours and then extra hours to make a 32 hour week, got cut back to their original 16 hours.
Those of us working 32 hours and then made to work 40 a week, are now back to 32 hours. My manager didn't even express any sympathy or concern. He is really not the kind of manager I thought he was 3 years ago. Sad, that all they care about is cutting workers hours but we have SEVEN managers on dayshift between the 3 buildings, but NONE of them has had reduced hours or been let go!
Even worse, ONE manager runs all 3 buildings on the weekend they work, so WHY do we need SEVEN on days during the week? Second and 3rd shift have 2 managers for each shift, so maybe that's what they should have on days.
I have always had it in the back of my mind my hours may get cut, so I will tweak my budget again and keep looking for a job somewhere else.
The sad thing is they expect us to be all excited about doing our jobs when they do crap like this!
My Fridays I don't work any more start July 12, as I am on vacation this coming week, Mon. through Fri.
My new schedule will be Wed, Thurs, NO WORK Fri and then Sat, Sun.
I really hope I can find something closer and with at least one weekend off so I can get rid of this job!

Hope everyone is having a good week. Elita is coming home this Sat., just for the weekend. She is a little homesick living by herself, even though Chris has come over a few times. Her internship is going pretty good but she has an individual project to work on now so she is a little nervous about that.
Time to get dressed and run a few errands.

Figures as soon as I give away my splint for carpal tunnel syndrome both hands now decided to go to sleep.
Elita is doing pretty good at her internship job. Her boss said one project had some of the cleanest and efficient code he had seen in 2 years. I know she will have some problems as she is learning, but at least tihis is a confidence booster for her.
Need to get to Jorge's Zumba class today.
