  • Thanksgiving Elita

    It was a short visit due to semesters now but I was glad to see my baby.

    We took her to Dublin, where Chris lives, so he could take her to the bus station in Columbus as Larry would have been late to work, if he had taken her.

    Getting ready to go to lunch with friend Helen:
    She did her hair for church on Sun.
    Ready to leave for church.
    All packed up to go back.    She got the blue duffle bag at the thrift store.  Paid $3 and she said it is worth about $140 online!
    Christopher Summers.  They have been dating since this past March.  He recently turned 23 and she will turn 21 Dec. 9th.
    He took her to the bus station in Columbus so she could take the Go Bus back to Athens.

    He graduated in June but can't find a job in his field.  He had a full time job at a high end clothing store near his apt. but they have cut his hours so he is looking for whatever he can get to make that up and still hope he can land a job in audio production.  Elita tries to keep him encouraged and we pray for something to open up for him.

  • ARDILLAS!!

    We went to Thomas Cloud Park on my day off last week and I got to snap some pictures of ardillas.

    Temp dropped from 55 this morning on the way to work to 37 and WINDY now!  Time to get money from bank and run errands, then I am off for 4 days!  Going to spend my precious weekend with Elita and we take her back to OU Sun.

    Been watching world events and it is has me wondering. . . . 

    Earthquakes in Guatemala, Kentucky, Burma.  Other places before these.  

    Hurricane Sandy.

    The financial collapse of some countries in the European Union due to TOO MANY gov't. handouts now being cut. 

    France:  Citizens protesting in the streets, 70,000 strong, supporting traditional marriage in spite of the new guy trying to push in the "Marriage for Everybody" agenda.

    Israel being attacked.

    The Middle East debacle and "O" still denying it was a terrorist attack.  His re-election, IN SPITE of HIGH unemployment, out of control spending and a LACK of leadership in America. A lackluster "support" of Israel during the time it is fighting for its life.  

    Start preparing and be ready.

    This is still a tragedy.  TOO many are still with no light, heat, running water, etc.  

    WHERE is FEMA??? Bush was castigated but this tragedy is not even getting the same NATIONAL coverage that Katrina got.  MSM buffering him as usual.  I heard on one station that they said residents had to personally call FEMA in order to get help!! This is why Romney wanted things like this to be done at the STATE level.

    The cuts, detailed on pages 94 through 96 of the White House's sequestration proposal, released in mid-September, show how far the Obama administration has been willing to go in order to preserve the idea of tax hikes on "millionaires and billionaires" rather than reaching a comprehensive grand bargain on deficit reduction that does not place additional burdens on the economy or essential services. 

    As Bob Woodward notes in his definitive account of the debt ceiling negotiations, such a bargain was within reach in July 2011, before President Obama destroyed it.

    These cuts likely underestimate the total cuts proposed to disaster relief functions, since the U.S. armed forces--subject to separate cuts in Obama's sequester proposals--frequently provide support to FEMA operations, as well as essential search and rescue services. 

    The White House sequestration proposal also warns: "The Federal Emergency Management Agency’s ability to respond to incidents of terrorism and other catastrophic events would be undermined."

    BUT, he is looking out for their good! NOT!!  These people are really suffering and God knows how many will die because they are in high-rise buildings and get not readily get out to get to warmer shelters.  


    I pray these people get help soon and are able to rebuild their lives.

    SAD day in America!!! Lots of frogs in the pots, re-electing this clown!!

    Don't be surprised when we get attacked again.  Obamacare is going to drive doctors out of business!

    When the poo starts hitting the fan at least I can say I wasn't a part of it!

    The food police, Mooch-chelle is going to be full force now so don't be surprised when she takes over the schools' menus.

    God help us as this is going to be an awful 4 years.  Lots of stupid black people saying foe mo here this morning, not realizing that stupid whites helped put him back in too. 

    I will be putting a black mourning cloth on my fence, as this is the beginning of the end for America as it used to be!

    Romney has so much class, Bama doesn't even begin to compare.  I wonder if Bama would have been so gracious if HE had lost!  Probably would be still hollering "Revenge"!

    PRAY FOR AMERICA, PEOPLE, PRAY FOR AMERICA!  I don't want God's hand of protection taken off of us because of all the evil agendas this man supports.

    OBAMA SHOULD BE IMPEACHED!!

    The Constitution states: “[the president] shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.”

    From Alexander Hamilton: “…those offences which proceed from the misconduct of public men, or, in other words, from the abuse or violation of some public trust.”

    Impeachment: majority vote by the House; conviction 2/3 vote by the Senate. Majority Republican, the House would certainly impeach.

    Benghazi will not go away no matter what lies he tells!

    The pres has sunk to a new low, telling voters in Springfield, OH to vote to get revenge.

    With his evil countenance, he is the opposite epitome of "civility" he talked so much about!

    I pray he is NOT with us another 4 more years!!

    As usual, he invoked his black dialect.  What a user and manipulator!!

    SUNDAY UPDATE:

    Bama supporters are so desperate that now they resort to cursing and other immature comments because they sense that Obama will lose.  He had his chance and now it's time for someone who will support Israel, bring some actual American values back to this country and reform the tax system.  Those voting for Bama need to do their homework.  Lincoln was Republican and so was Martin Luther King.  This is a disgrace to see all his sacrifice go by the wayside while people blindly try to put this guy back in for 4 more years!!

     

     

     

     

     

  • ATLANTIC CITY DESTROYED BY SANDY :(

    LOTS and LOTS of damage.  I hope they can get help and that nobody died because they didn't leave!


     

    Used to go here lots of summers.  :( Everyone in our family is ok.  Larry's brother in Jersey City can't get to work because Hoboken is severely flooded and no way to get there.  

    I can't imagine how long it will take to clean up all the damage.  I hope people had home or renter's insurance so they can recoup something from this tragedy.

    Baby sister in South Jersey had a couple of trees come down on the wooded area of their property but none near the house, as they have 8 acres.  They did not lose power but she said it was very scary with the crazy wind and rain last night!

    I can say it is very different when you grew up going to these places and now they are so badly damaged, than just hearing about them on the news.  A lot of mixed emotions right now but thankful that there was no big loss of life!

    Found out about this event too late to go:  It was a relief drive in Kettering, OH.  By the time I found out about it it was too late to get there.  :(

    If you never doing anything important the rest of this year, GET OUT AND VOTE!!

    Romney brought it last night and this country is in a critical tipping point.  Obama kept referring to "I" and "me" last night.  The Muslim came out if you listened to his debate when he spoke about Tunisia.

    He has already been caught with his hand in the cookie jar, making back door deals with Iran and Russia, promising Putin he will have "more flexibility" once he's elected.

    He expressed an open contempt for Romney with glaring eyes throughout the debate.

    God help us if we wake up Nov. 7th and he is STILL there!

  • ROW, ROW, ROW YOUR BOAT!!

     Hola,


    Elita decided to join the Ohio University Women's Crew team and so far she is doing okay, in spite of having to get up some mornings at 5 am to get ready for practices.  Their Novice Level team got 4th place in a Regatta this past Sat.  She says they will be practicing on indoor equipment when it gets too cold to be on the water.  Their boat weighs 600 pounds!  If it continues to fit in with her class schedule she will finish out this year and then, Lord willing, see what happens in her senior year.  Their boat is called the Mac Attack.

    Time to get ready and take Charlie for a walk then run a few errands.  Going to a Romney debate watch in Beavercreek tomorrow night, leaving at 7 pm.  We have never been to one so it should be interesting.  Will take my camera with me.
